You shouldn't need to have an account to download any files from this site, but after going through my share of pop-ups, wait times and download limits, I can assure you it's worth the cost of membership.
If you're battling the pop-ups going the free route, I would highly recommend using the Brave browser. It's based on Chromium but privacy-focused and great at blocking ads and trackers. You can also earn BAT tokens while you surf. While this sounds like a complete sales pitch, there's no commission here, just trying to spare you those cursed ads.
